Network diagnostic commands allow users to see useful information about the network.


ddeapp.network.diagnostics.bonds

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

List the bond interfaces.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.bonds dde=DDEAPP [interface=DDEINTERFACE]
Arguments

dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

interface

DDE interface.

Exampleddeapp.network.diagnostics.bonds dde=a

No bonds found



ddeapp.network.diagnostics.dig

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

Dig a target from the specified DDE app.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.dig dde=DDEAPP target=HOSTNAME [time=DURATION]
Arguments

dde

DDE app ID.  Possible values are a, b, standby.

target

Valid hostname or IPv4 address.

time

Maximum length of time, in seconds, that the command runs. Possible values are from 1 to 20.

Example

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.dig dde=a target=host1 time=6



ddeapp.network.diagnostics.ethtool

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

Query network device driver and hardware settings.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.ethtool dde=DDEAPP [interface=DDEINTERFACE]
Arguments

dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

interface

DDE interface.

Exampleddeapp.network.diagnostics.ethtool dde=standby

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.ifconfig

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

List the status of the currently active interfaces.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.ifconfig dde=DDEAPP [interface=DDEINTERFACE]
Arguments

dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

interface

DDE interface.

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.iperf

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

Run the the iPerf client from DDE to the iPerf server.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.iperf dde=DDEAPP target=HOSTNAME [src=DDEIPADDRESS]  [time=IPERFDURATION] [buffer=IPERFBUFFERSIZE] [iperf_ver=IPERFVER] [parallel=PARALLEL] [reverse={YES|NO|Y|N}]
Arguments







dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

target

Valid hostname or IPv4 address.

src

A specific DDE interface (IPv4 address).

time

Maximum length of time, in seconds, that the command runs. Possible values are from 1 to 30.

buffer

Buffer size, in bytes, for iPerf. Possible values are from 128 to 1024.

iperf_ver

iPerf version. Possible values are 1, 3.

parallel

Number of parallel streams.

reverse

Yes or no.

Example

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.iperf dde=a target=127.0.0.1
connect failed: Connection refused



ddeapp.network.diagnostics.mtu

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

Calculate the MTU size between a DDE and a target.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.mtu dde=DDEAPP target=HOSTNAME [src=DDEIPADDRESS]
Arguments

dde

DDE app ID.  Possible values are a, b, standby.

target

Valid hostname or IPv4 address.

src

A specific DDE interface (IPv4 address).

Arguments







dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

target

Valid hostname or IPv4 address.

src

A specific DDE interface (IPv4 address).

time

Maximum length of time, in seconds, that the command runs. Possible values are from 1 to 20.

payload_size

A positive number that can include up to 2 digits beyond the decimal point. Optionally followed by a unit. Possible values are from 1 to 10000.
For example, 1.5KB, 1000.

do_not_fragment

Yes or no.

Description

Lists the nameserver IP address.

Syntaxddeapp.network.diagnostics.resolv dde=DDEAPP
Arguments
dde

DDE app ID. Possible values are a, b, standby.

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.traceroute

ROLE: All Roles 

Description

Trace the route from the specified DDE app to the target.

Arguments

dde

DDE app ID.  Possible values are a, b, standby.

target

Valid hostname or IPv4 address.

src

A specific DDE interface (IPv4 address).

Example

ddeapp.network.diagnostics.traceroute dde=a target=127.0.0.1
