Starting with release 5.7, InfiniMetrics tracks how many consecutive attempts per entity failed to collect statistics.
When at least one entity can't be monitored on a system for more than 15 minutes, a warning message is sent. The message includes:

  • the IP address of the InfiniMetrics
  • the number of entities that could not be monitored on that system
  • the system name

This event is sent once (to avoid flooding) until monitoring is back to normal.
When monitoring returns to normal, InfiniMetrics sends another message that it can now monitor all entities on the system.

The events are triggered on the relevant system, InfiniBox or InfiniGuard, and on the default system used by InfiniMetrics to trigger events.
