Hosts table 

The following fields are displayed:

Name - The identifying name of the host. It can be any name.

LUNs - The number of Logical Units mapped to the host.

Operating System - The operating system running on the host. The operating system is only displayed when Host Power Tools is installed on the host.

Protocol - The type of port that the host uses.

FC Connectivity Status - The FC connectivity status. The status is checked every 24 hours.

    • Host Connectivity status set to Connected if the host is connected to all nodes (regardless to the number of initiators)
    • Host Connectivity status set to Degraded if the host is connected to 2 InfiniBox Nodes only (regardless to the number of initiators)
    • Host Connectivity status set to Not Resilient if the host is connected to 1 InfiniBox Node only (regardless to the number of initiators)
    • Host Connectivity status set to Disconnected only if ALL defined ports are disconnected (down)

Examples

All nodes green - The host connectivity status is connected


Two nodes green - The host connectivity status is degraded


One node green - The host connectivity status is not resilient


All nodes red - The host connectivity status is disconnected

Additional host data

The additional data that is displayed includes the following:

  • The version of Host Power Tools that is installed on the system.

INFINIDAT recommends that you install Host Power Tools on hosts that connect to InfiniBox.

  • Host readiness check - the date and time that the host readiness check was last run.
  • Operating system - The actual operating system that is installed on the host.
