Version 3.3

  • Release date: 2017-07-12

What's new in this release

  • HPT-2096 Support for RedHat 6.9

Fixed issues

  • HPT-2120 Fixed a case where infinihost volume provision failed on Windows if there's a dynamic volume
  • HPT-2111 Fixed a case where infinihost volume list failed when a volume is mapped to a LUN higher than 255
  • HPT-2102 Fixed a case where Host PowerTools settings failed on Windows servers with Cisco FNIC installed
  • HPT-2097 Fixed a case where Host PowerTools failed to register a newly install FC port for hosts that are already registered in InfiniBox
  • HPT-2095 Fixed a case where infinihost logs collect failed to collect Windows event logs

Known issues

  • HPT-1816 Compatibility issues with AIX 7.1 TL3 SP2
    • Due to an issue with the HBAAPI library in AIX 7.1 TL3 SP2, Host PowerTools cannot query information about the FC initiator ports.
    • As a result, the command _infinihost settings check_ says __No initiator ports detected_ and the command _infinihost system register_ does not register the FC initiator ports inside the InfiniBox.
    • A fix is available on the IBM website as part of fix pack 7100-03-03-1415 - IV52759.
    • To workaround this issue, use the InfiniBox GUI or InfiniShell to register the initiator ports from within the InfiniBox system.
  • HPT-1701 Host registration issues with the AIX live partition mobility feature
    • When an AIX host is configured to use live partition mobility to move lpars between hosts, there is a need for 4 adaptors. Two are NPIV ports that fail between the hosts. The other two are for the partition mobility itself. When HPT performs the system register operation, it sees the two HBAs that are not defined as part of the current host. HPT prompts to either remove them or to abort the sequence before finishing.

Improvements

  • HPT-1578 Added support for HP-branded FC HBAs
    • This version includes support for the AJ764A/AH403A models.

Fixed issues

  • HPT-1586 Fixing the cross-reference links among knowledge-base articles
    • They are now pointing to the correct pages at support.infinidat.com
  • HPT-1577 Fixed a case where infinihost settings check did not regenerate initrd image when the root volume was on top of LVM

  • HPT-1616 New co-existence checks with EMC PowerPath
