On RedHat and similar Linux distributions that boot from SAN, if the FC HBA driver is loaded during the boot as part of the initrd image, then the driver doesn't load the correct driver parameters
Known issues
HPT-2560Under certain conditions, some antivirus software applications may block the HPT installation process. A workaround is available in the HPT documentation.
HPT-1701There are issues with host registration related to the AIX live partition mobility feature
When an AIX host is configured to use live partition mobility to move lpars between hosts, four adapters are needed. Two are NPIV ports that may fail between the hosts. The other two are for the partition mobility itself. When HPT performs the system registration, it sees the two HBAs that are not defined as part of the current host. HPT prompts the user to either remove them or to abort the sequence before finishing.

As a result, the command infinihost settings check says No initiator ports detected and the command infinihost system register does not register the FC initiator ports inside the InfiniBox.
A fix is available on the IBM website as part of fix pack 7100-03-03-1415 - IV52759.
To workaround this issue, use the InfiniBox GUI or InfiniShell to register the initiator ports from within the InfiniBox system.
